Description
Description
Thistles, but make them chic. This modern thistle flowers art print shows a bouquet of spiky blue blooms bursting from a checkered vase in cool teal and cream squares, set against a soft, creamy background. Bold lines and a graphic illustration style give it a fresh, contemporary feel, while the subject keeps it rooted in nature.
The palette of blue, purple-tinged petals, sage green and warm beige is calming yet striking, and that checkerboard vase adds a playful geometric twist. It is a brilliant choice if you love botanical wall art, checkered decor or floral prints that feel a little different from the usual roses and peonies.
Where to hang it
It looks fabulous in a living room next to a vase of real dried flowers, or on a bedroom wall where its soft colours feel restful. In a hallway it adds a stylish welcome without shouting for attention. Pair it with other graphic florals, ribbed glass vases, wavy mirrors, cream bouclé and touches of navy or teal for a modern, slightly retro look. It also suits pared-back minimalist spaces and more eclectic homes equally well. It comes unframed or in a black, white or light wood frame, so you can tune it to your scheme. A thoughtful gift for flower lovers, Scottish friends with a soft spot for their national bloom, keen gardeners and anyone who appreciates design with a twist.
