Description
Description
Long live the king of dogs. This vintage Tudor bulldog portrait wall art print shows a dignified bulldog dressed in a grand Tudor neck ruff and regal outfit, set against dark, moody tones that recall the finest sixteenth-century court paintings. It's equal parts majestic and gloriously silly.
The painting has a real old master feel, with rich browns, smoky greyscale and deep jet black lending it a sense of history and gravitas. That serious expression, paired with all that finery, makes this one of the most charming pieces of bulldog wall art around. It's a portal to a bygone era, with a wink.
Royal styling tips
Hang it in the living room above a fireplace or a dark wood dresser for a witty take on a traditional family portrait. In a hallway, it gives visitors a grand welcome, and in a bedroom it adds a quirky, characterful touch. It looks especially good with gilt mirrors, heritage paint colours, velvet and leather, and alongside other Tudor animal portraits for an eccentric gallery wall.
It's a fabulous gift for bulldog owners, dog lovers, history fans and anyone who enjoys a bit of regal humour. Perfect for a birthday, a new puppy celebration or a friend who's moved into a period property. Order it unframed or in a black, white or light wood frame, whichever suits your palace best.
